We stayed for a night and everything was nice. the staff is very supportive and services are good. there is also dining/common room where you can eat your food with microwaves and hot/cold water provided by hotel. Tea/Coffee available for free all the time! the view of road crossings seems fine from window too!

The OneFive Kyoto Shijo was a pleasant surprise. The price point is superb (no idea why it is as low as it is!). The rooms are larger than average for a hotel in Japan. It also felt new and modern with thoughtfully placed light switches and even floor lights you can turn on if you have to make that trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Check-in is through an automated machine although the staff does guide you through it. Coffee and tea are located near the check-in desk and there is also a "cafe"/lounge area on the 2nd floor with seating and a coffee machine. Shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap are in the hotel bathrooms but if you want anything else (e.g., room slippers, robes, face wash), you have to grab it from the coffee area near the check-in desk. The hotel has a 7-Eleven on the ground floor which is really convenient! Bus stop with buses to take you to all the big tourist spots in Kyoto is right in front of the hotel. The hotel is next to a busy road so if your room is on the lower floors, traffic noise may be an issue (earplugs will help!). Overall, a great stay here!
